James M. Armpriester, Jr.
Pastor James M. Armpriester, Jr. worked as a molecular biologist at Procter & Gamble for ten years before becoming a pastor. With over thirty years of experience in ministry, he has been heavily involved in church planting and church health. He has served as a district director in Ohio and North Texas and has been a national leader in curriculum development, coaching, and consulting for church planting and revitalization. Pastor Jim has been the lead pastor of several churches, including New Hope in Cincinnati, Ohio, First Assembly of God in Niagara Falls, NY, and Transformation Life Church, which has multiple campuses in New Jersey.
Pastor Jim is passionate about helping people find faith in Jesus and live fulfilling lives. He focuses on creating environments where transformation happens through discovering God’s truth, building life-giving relationships, and doing good works. He believes in a holistic approach to Christian living, advocating for spiritual maturity, personal well-being, meaningful relationships, aligning one’s career and calling with the passions and gifts given by God, and the effective stewardship of one’s time, talent, and treasure in line with Christ’s mission to “seek and to save the lost.”
He emphasizes that being in a relationship with Jesus involves full participation in the community of believers. A key aspect of Pastor James’ ministry is fostering an inclusive and loving church family. Transformation Life Church is a caring community with over seventy nations represented. Pastor Jim attributes the deep relationships and genuine love experienced in the church community to the high percentage of adherents participating in TLC life groups.
Pastor James has been married to his high school sweetheart, Brenda, for 40 years. They have two children, James and Gabriella, and five grandchildren. He holds a B.S. degree from Evangel College and pursued a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences at Wright State University. He is an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God.
