Amazing Love is a story within a story.
It outlines the biblical events of Jesus leading up to the moment of his death and resurrection whilst highlighting the women who came alongside him to aid in his ministry. It presents the story behind the women who are always depicted as the ones who kneeled at His feet at the cross and who discovered the empty tomb, but nobody really knows who they were.
In this Drama, you get to know their names, and where they came from.You witness their testimonies and the path they chose that led them to Jesus. The world observes Mary as a young girl chosen by God to bare the messiah, but this reminds us that she was his Mother for 33 years. It brings to light the backstage drama of the Easter story.
How was Jesus able to travel with the twelve? It was possible because his ministry was funded by these women from their purse. These women were his event planners if you will. They managed travel, lodging, food, water, and laundry. It depicts the reality of life in the days of Jesus and it will make people look at the images of the cross and resurrection through the eyes of these 6 women whom Jesus loved. It brings to light a fact, that out of all the followers of Jesus, it was these women who stuck by him were loyal to the end, and had the courage to hold together as they watched him die.
Ultimately it will bring understanding of the joy they felt at the knowledge of his resurrection because now these women have become real people in the eyes of all who watch this drama and the message behind it.
